As weather permits, Mr. Johnson is methodically taking down the Christmas Light props for storage until next year and shifting into firework mode for the 250th USA Birthday celebration!!

Bird’s Eye View of a Winter Wonderland

Mr. Johnson flew a drone for a bird’s eye view of the Christmas light show.

Fun fact: Mr. Johnson is 0 for 3 on drones…as in he has crashed (majorly!!) all 3 of the drones he has had. He claims the first was not his fault as the gen 1 drone got ‘confused’ and drifted off into the woods and ‘parked’ in a tree for a couple of months; the second he also claims was not his fault as the battery ‘just fell out of it’ and the drone ‘parked’ hidden in a wooded ravine for a couple of months; this last one was also not his fault as clearly the power line lowered itself into the flight path of the drone…at least the parts were readily found.

In 2025 the Indiana Johnson’s Christmas Light Show sponsored the production of “James and the Giant Peach, Jr.” at the local summer theatre. Here is the Shawnee president in lights with the plug for 2026.

The 2025 Christmas Light show is up and running with a new Nativity (all large blow molds!) and continued expansion of the Blasko forest on the right.

Christmas lights (also known as fairy lights, festive lights or string lights) are lights often used for decoration in celebration of Christmas, often on display throughout the Christmas season including Advent and Christmastide. The custom goes back to when Christmas trees were decorated with candles, which symbolized Christ being the light of the world.
